Back to California Condor - A Day In The Life
The People
There are many people and organizations dedicated to the California condor's recovery. The condors living free in the Big Sur area are supported by the staff and volunteers from the following organizations.

Ventana Wildlife Society

Founded in 1977, Ventana Wildlife Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to conserving native wildlife and their habitats.

They successfully recovered a breeding population of Bald Eagles in central California and are in the process of doing the same for California Condors.
