California Condor
A Day In The Life
Are condors cool? Yes! Watch my new short film below and see for yourself
Using all new footage shot on location in central California between October 2022 and December 2023, combined with
the knowledge and passion of biologists who study them, this film uses the structure of a day in the life
of a California condor to illustrate how impressive, sophisticated and just plain cool this critically endangered species is.
Thanks!
I'd like to especially thank biologists DanaƩ, Darren and Kara for allowing me to tap into their knowledge and passion,
and for being great sports in finding new ways to communicate that knowledge (if you've watched the film, you'll know what I'm referring to).
I'd also like to thank the folks at Ventana Wildlife Society for letting me tag along here and there as they
performed nest observations and worked in their sanctuary.
Finally, I'd like to thank all the folks that are part of the condor recovery program. I've been involved
with the program in one way or another for over 12 years so far, and it's been a real privilege to get to work
with such a passionate and dedicated group of people. Learn more about the birds, the people, and the program at the links below in
the "About The Condors" section.
